I posted a listing for a new book of interest to researchers of this area yesterday. It is the 1797/99 & 1802 Tax Digest for Jackson County, Georgia by Belinda Savadge (savadge@alltel.net) It is posted at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gamadiso/sources.htm#non_personal It is a transcription of the first Tax Digest book in the Jackson County, Georgia Probate Court Office. It has what has been located of the 1797, 1799 and all of the 1802 Tax Digest. 1800 & 1801 are missing.
