The next meeting is as follows: February 12, 2002 - Patsy Harris, EGGS and Georgia Genealogical Society member, author of "Early Morgan County, Georgia Newspapers, 1842-1861," and a former registered nurse, will speak on "Apoplexy, Acute Indigestion and Dropsy, and Other Mysterious Ailments that Killed Our Ancestors." We'll discuss outdated medical terms for diseases and their cures and their modern meanings, as well as some of the epidemics that our ancestors experienced. This will no doubt be a most interesting and informative meeting, and we hope you can join us!
