Am seeking information on the families of James Gildersleeve WOOTTON and Elizabeth Elenor (Ellen) SANDERS, who were married in Madison City on 22 May 1839. The wedding took place at the home of Elizabeth's father, John SANDERS. John's wife was named Marah ?, and he had a brother named William Joseph, who appears to have married Elander LESTER. James G. WOOTTON and family, and probably Marah SANDERS as well, moved to Lafayette Co., MS in January of 1844. Finally, can someone tell me where Madison City is? Is this the same as Madison Springs, or has the town been renamed? I know that there is also a Madison in Morgan Co., GA, but my information lists Madison City in Madison Co. Thanks for your help!
