The Piedmont Reginal Genealogy Society has reorganized and revamped the area they are covering to include 28 counties in northeast Georgia. The counties to be covered are: Banks, Barrow, Butts, Clarke, Columbia, Elbert, Franklin, Glascock, Gwinnett, Greene, Hancock, Hart, Jackson, Jasper, Lincoln, MADISON, McDuffie, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Putnam, Rockdale, Stephens, Taliaferro, Walton, Warren, and Wilkes. They will publish a quarterly - Georgia Settlers. This quarterly will include records transcribed from local courthouses which have not previously been published. The first volume includes: Columbia Co. Twelve Months Support 1858-1898; Glascodk Co. Marriage Book A 1858-1873, pages 1-82; Madison Co. Poor School Fund 1828-1839; and Walton Co.
