I believe that he was born in Georgia abt. 1801 and that his parents were Robert Floyd and Nancy Hardeman. I've seen information that he married Nancy Smith in Madison County, Georgia in 1833. Turner has been used in my Floyd line as a middle name for a couple of generations starting in 1846 with my great-grandfather William Turner Floyd. His father, William Floyd was born in Georgia abt. 1802. I'm trying to see if there is a connection between this Floyd line and mine.
