Am searching for information on SOLATHIEL MARTIN HALES , he married LUCINDA BRYANT in Madison county. I am trying to prove that he is the father of my gg grandmother Cynthia Hale(s). She was born in Hall County Ga, but she died in Texas and her death certificate states her father was MARTIN HALES. I found the marriage listed on the Madison county web site, but it does not give a date..I am sending for that information. If any one has information on the HALES or BRYANT family connection I would appreciate you help. I will be happy to share information. Thanks Faye blittle@idworld.net
I have 3 siblings for Crawford W. Long: H.R. Jones Long, who was also a physician; Sarah Long, who maried Giles Mitchell; and Elizabeth, who married samuel P. Thurmond. James Long, C.W.'s father, was born in PA @1774. His father was Samuel Long, Sr. His siblings were Thomas who married Isabella McCurdy; Samuel Long, Jr. who never married; Polly, who married a Tate but had no children; and Anne, the only child born in GA and never maried. About 15 familes left PA in 1787 and traveled to GA. I'm interested in sharing information. Anita

Can anyone tell me whether there are any tax or voting records for Madison County during the late 1800s (about 1885-1900)? If so, can you also tell me whether there is any way that I can access them from Virginia (such as interlibrary loan, or online, or hiring or begging someone to check them, or whatever)? I would greatly appreciate any information that anyone can provide! Thanks, LouDean
