    3. I have tracked my GGG Grandfather Tillman Thomas Anderson Sr. by his marriage to Martha Baxter on 8/24/1828 in Madison County GA. I have the marriage record. I believe that Tillman Sr. died about 1830 after his son, my GG Grandfather, Tillman Jr. was born. I recently found through 1820 census records from Madison County that several Andersons, John N, John S, James, Jacob & Terrel residing in Madison County. Through Madison County court records I know that John N was the father of John S, James, Jacob & Terrel. Furthermore, I know that Martha Baxter was the daughter of James Baxter. James Baxter also appears in the 1820 census in Madison County. Through this information I believe that either James or Jacob was the father of Tillman Thomas Anderson Sr. I am asking for any assistance or direction that you could provide. I would like to find any obituary information on Tillman Sr. & determine if his father was James or Jacob. Thanks, Keith Anderson andkandk@tds.net P.O Box 464 Verden, OK 73092 405 224-4046

In sharing your records you might help someone else who has a piece of the puzzle that you are missing. I posted an obituary for Ryo Gilliam Benton. ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ga/madison/obits/1983/bentonrg.txt I suspect that the Ryo is a typo - does anyone know? Expecting to hear from you! 3. Researchers, There is a new book titled "Madison County, Georgia Marriage Records 1812-1909" by Mr. Ted O. Brooke which is now available. The book has both a bride and groom index, and I would certainly recommend this to you to use as a source. I talked with the librarian at the Madison County Library and she said she will order a copy for the library's genealogy section. I have my own copy now at home and it is great! 2. Mary Love Berryman
    3. I would like to thank Jeanne Arguelles for abstracting Madison County Will Book A and part of Book B. This is a wonderful addition to the Madison County GAGenWeb Archives. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/madison/wills.html You will find an index on the page with the Will Book. This is a great way to celebrate Family History Month - October. Do you have something to contribute? We'll be glad to receive it! Thanks again, Jeanne!
