Hello, All I just got a copy of the Disaster on The Mississippi, by Gene Salecker, and wanted to make a plug for it. I have been reading it for the past couple of days and have enjoyed the personal accounts about the men who were on the Sultana. I had two ancestors who were on the Sultana and one of them was killed. I am learning alot about them, because the author researched all the men and wrote about them and what they went through. If you are a descendant of someone who was on the Sultana and don't already have a copy of this book, I highly recommend getting it.
