CRUMLEY DIED TUESDAY NIGHT - A feeling of sadness pervades our town owing to the death of Dr. M. F. Crumley, one of our oldest and most beloved citizens, which occurred Tuesday night. Dr. Crumley had been in failing health for sometime and gradually went down until the end. He was a gallant Confederate soldier, a noble hearted, true gentleman and one who always stood for the best in life. His strict integrity and manly attributes won for him a warm place in the hearts of all who knew him. > He was a resident of Oglethorpe for upwards of forty years. Only a few years ago he suffered a terrible blow in the sudden death of his wife, to whom he was tenderly devoted.
