    1. Re: [GAMACON] Lookup 1850 Census...William Moony
    2. Thanks for the look up. I was indeed requesting the look up for William MOONY in hopes that we might be my lost William Moody. Unfortunately, the William MOODY in Macon Co. 1850 is not mine but I am in touch with his descendants. My Wm. Moody (b. ca 1820) m. Frances P. Davis in Crawford Co. in 1847. They had a child Edwin in 1849. Wm.'s parents Josiah & Mary moved to Macon Co. from Crawford about between late 1850 and 1852. Mary died in the Oglethorpe smallpox epidemic and is buried in the smallpox cem. Mary Bethia Moody Kelso Hill English of Oglethorpe was a granddaughter of Josiah and Mary. Since the family was in Macon Co. I thought maybe Wm. & Frances where there too. I have checked every Wm. Moody in the 1850 index to no avail so now I'm trying for possible misspelling of the name. I do believe they were in Crawford, Macon or Sumter Co. My next step is to get the film for each county and go through it page by page. Do you have any other ideas or resources to check? Thanks again for your help. I'll be in GA for the month of April and plan to get over your way. I love like to meet you sometime. I hope to get by to see Cousin Patsy English. I believe she said y'all were acquainted.
