Harriett, Did you get a reply to your below request? The Pleasant Grove Methodist Church is no longer there. Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is across the road from the cemetery where William and Elizabeth are buried. There is a cemetery behind that Church. It's a 'country' church and probably no one there during the week. I do not know anything about funeral homes in Macon CO back then. Perhaps you could write Watson-Matthews Funeral Home, Montezuma, GA to ask them about it? That is the funeral home that serves Oglethorpe, Idea and surrounding area. And maybe they will give you the name of the one in Reynolds or Butler (Taylor CO). Wynelle R. I am searching for information about William Washington and Elizabeth T A McMurrain Bryan. He died 24 Jul 1895 and she died 15/18 Sep 1895. I do know they are both buried in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. I have looked for an obit but am not able to locate one. In 1880 these Bryan's were in the Fort Perry area of Marion County Ga but were buried in Macon County. I do not know when or if they moved to Macon County. > > Also does anyone have an address for the above church/cemetery? Maybe they would have some records of the burials. > > Thanks for any and all suggestions/help. > Harriett Fuquay > > > ==== GAMACON Mailing List ==== > Be sure to check the surrounding counties and also those Alabama Counties across the river. Many moved beteen the two states. >
