CHARLES GRAYSON JONES. I think he was born in Meriwether County, Georgia circa 1837, joined the Georgia State Guard ( Robinson's) Cavalry in 1863 and lived in Ellaville, Georgia ( Schley County) around 1880's - 1910 +. I really don't know where he lived immediately after the Civil War. He died in Columbus, GA in 1924 and is buried in Woodbury, GA. His children from his wife ANNA H. JONES were CHARLEY JONES, JAMES STACY JONES , LELIA BERYL JONES AMMONS ( my grandmother) and WILLIE JONES. My grandmother's half sister, EULA OLIVER PAYNE, lived in Oglethorpe, GA.
