I am not sure what kind of proof I can find by May 1 but I will tell you what I have, which I stumbled on while browsing the computer while on winter vacation. Please email me directly with sending instructions. On ancestry.com Civil War Service Records I had found: Hafer, William Co B 12 (Robinson's) Georgia Cavalry. (State Guards) Lieutenant Lieutenant Confederate Elsewhere, I had found a reference to this Cavalry which listed at least a couple of men from Marshallville. It is this reference I am trying to now relocate via Cyndi's list. As I recall, it was only a fragment of the roster. I shall keep trying. My husband and I visited Marshallville again this past Jan., and the Macon co library (I signed the register!), Massee Gardens, Yoder restaurant, etc. Dr. Wm Hafer was the brother of my great grandfather; Harrison Hafer.
