Surnames: HALL Classification: Lookup Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Jd.2ADE/13699 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate the parents of my grandfather, Ellis Hall (Born 1/25/1889 or 90 in Macon,GA and died 12/25/1964 in Bradenton, FL) He was a Private (Engineers) in WWI, and worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps. In the 1930 Census, he was living in Bradenton, FL and is listed as being 40 yrs old, and as first being married when he was 18 yrs old, and that his wife -- my grandmother, Elnora Wells, (Born 3/7/05 in Savannah(?) GA and died 11/1970 in Bradenton FL), was listed as first married at the age of 14 yrs old. Ellis is 15 yrs older than my grandmother, so I am now trying to determine if he had been married before. There is no indication of his remarriage or divorce in the 1930 Census. To add to the confusion, both of my grandparents and their parents have their birthplace listed as being Florida. I can't seem to locate Ellis in the 1920 Census, and I'm thinking that he might have been in the Service during the 1910 Census. I've also seem to have hit a dead end be! cause I think Macon/Bibb County Vital Statistics in Georgia only have birth records going as far back as 1891. I don't know of any other sources that would give any information about his parents. And finally, as far as we know, it seems that he had no other siblilngs or children. Help!
