Daniel passed away at the home of Mrs. M. P. Kelsoe, Monday, at night at eight when all was calm and peaceful. > Mr. Daniel has for years suffered from a dread malady that defied all that medical skill could do. For the past year he has been gradually failing, and a few months ago he came to Oglethorpe with his family, hoping to be benefitted by a change. > A week ago he was prostrated, and up to his last hour he lingered, barely conscious of his pain. He began sinking rapidly Monday night, and surrounded by his bereaved loved ones and friends, peacefully breathed his last. > Mr. Daniel has long been a resident of Dooly County. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. M. P. Kelsoe, Mrs. A. Pearson and Messrs, C. A. and E. J. Powell, of this place, and Mr. W. J. Powell of Wilcox County. He leaves a heartbroken wife and eight children, two of whom were with him in his last hours. > All who knew him in the days gone by have nothing but praise for him. He was honest, good and true, and his friends here and in his old home share the grief of his loved ones in this sad hour. > The funeral services were held at the Cemetery at Snow, in Dooly County, Wednesday. > [Note: Anyone having any further info on W.
