For a month he had been very ill, for ten days the end was expected at any hour, and on Tuesday afternoon at 12:25, he fell asleep as quietly as a little child. > Maj. Dixon was a native of this county, and was for many years a resident of this town. He was a member of the Twelfth Georgia Regiment, which served so valiantly under Gen.
