Magruder Bryan married Martha Bryan in Greene Co., GA Nov 1830 (although some sources have it as 1838). Magruder died before Aug 1846 in Macon Co., GA and Martha appears as the head of the hh in 1850 census. 1850 Macon Co., GA Bryan, Martha 35 no occupation shown $5000 b. GA Martha 9 Elizabeth 6 William 17 farmer Jesse 11 It certainly seems to fit. And it seems Martha moved to Sumter Co. which is where William W. Bryan wed. Too bad the courthouse burned in 1857 and all the estate settlement records were lost. Magruder was the son of Little Bryan and wife Elizabeth Magruder. Little was the son of Nathan Bryan & Rebecca Little. My direct line is from Magruder's older brother, Nathan who married Mary Lofley.
