Today, I am posting from the Abstracts from the Macon Messenger by Willard Rocker and on page 292 I find: MARCH 25, 1863 - Died in Itawamba County, Miss. on the 7th February, JOHN C. HILVINSTON, ESQ., aged about 73 [78 ?] years. He was for many years a resident of this city [Probably meaning Macon [Bibb Co.],Ga. and afterwards of MACON COUNTY, GEORGIA.
