I do know that the old homestead no longer exists, but there is a cemetery (nearby where the store and farm once stood) at a very small church (that only meets for worship once a month) where there is a rather large lifelike monument to Mr. Taylor. Does that help ? 1850-1870 grandfather's name was Robert Taylor and he lived in the outlying area of Ft. Valley. The Taylor family had a cotton plantation and also had a family run store in the area. There is still a "Taylor" road on the old border of their land. Virginia Crilley
