    3. Macon County Citizen - Oglethorpe, Ga. January 18, 1929 IN MEMORIUM - After an illness of about 3 weeks, on December 14, 1928, Mrs. J. L. Peters was called away from us, to the glory world. Mrs. Peters had been in declining health for several years, but was as well as usual until she took a very heavy attack of influenza and plurisy. More - not copied - Mrs. Peters was formerly Miss Martha Jane Coxwell. She was married to Mr. J. L. Peters on February 9, 1875 and resided here until her death. She was 71 years of age, Methodist. She leaves nine children, namely Messers. J. H. Peters, J. B. Peters of Columbus; Mrs. C. G. Sanders of Butler; Mrs. J. T. Bridger of Schley County, Mrs. A. J. Greene of Macon County; Mr. J. T. Peters, E. L. Peters and A. W. Peters and one single daughter, Miss Sallie Peters who resided with her mother, several grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Interment was made in Old Lenanon Cemetery, services by Rev. J. J. Sanders. [Note: Martha J. Peters - Born May 12, 1857 - Died December 14, 1928 is buried in Old Lebanon Cemetery beside her husband, John L. Peters [Co. C. 8th Ga. Cav. CSA NO DATES. Born about 1837 [83/1920 Census] Died after 1920,before 1929
