    3. The Citizens & Georgian - Montezuma, Ga. January 8, 1942 TOM E. WILLIAMS, PROMINENT MACON COUNTY FARMER, DIES - Funeral services for Tom E. Williams, prominent Macon County farmer were held at his residence at 3 pm Sunday, with the Rev. W. W. Whaley of Lumpkin officiating. Mr. Williams died at his home Saturday night at 10 o'clock. Burial was at LOCKWOOD CEMETERY in Ideal. Mr. Williams had been in declining health for several years. He was born in Jefferson Co., Fla., March 5, 1858, moved to Macon County at an early age, and spent the remainder of his life in the Ideal Community. His wife, the former Emma Lockwood, preceded him in death six years ago. To their union were born nine children of whom seven survive: W. C. Williams, and T. W. Williams of Oglethorpe, Ga., Walter, Ruben and Berta Williams of Ideal; Mrs. Paul Fonts of Gainesville, Ga., Mrs. Willis Holman of Leslie, Ga. There are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were: Billy Childs, Jim Dominy, Monroe Dominy, Joe Hines, David Childs and Lester McCarty. [Note: Thomas Edgar Williams - Born March 5, 1858 - Died January 3, 1942 is buried in the Ideal-Lockwood Cemetery beside his wife, Susan Emma Lockwood Williams [7-5-1865 - March 13, 1936]
