January 25, 1929 FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MISS MAGGIE PATTON - Funeral services for Miss Maggie Patton, 58, who died Tuesday morning at the residence of her sister, Mrs. J. A. Adams, were held at the grave Wednesday morning. Miss Patton had been an invalid for sometime and her death had been expected for several days. During the past months she had made her home here, with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Adams, was one of the communities most highly respected women and was noted for her splendid traits of character. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Adams of Oglethorpe and Mrs. J. T. Patton of Abbeville, Ga. and several neices and nephews of this point, and Miami, Fla. [Note: There is not a marked grave in "Cemeteries of Macon County" for Miss Maggie Patton but it was reported by a family member that she is buried in Oglethorpe Cemetery in the Adams Family Lot in one of the five unmarked adult graves.
