    3. Macon County Citizen - Oglethorpe, Ga. March 8, 1929 MR. FRANK HOLT CLAIMED BY DEATH - In the death of Mr. Frank Holt in Macon last Saturday, Montezuma has suffered the loss of another of her oldest and most respected citizens,when the news reached her that he had succumbed to injuries received in an automobile accident on the highway near Pinehurst on Tuesday of the past week. Mr. Holt who was seventy two years old was born in Abbeville, Ala. and came to Montezuma as a boy with his father, the late Dr. Payton R. Holt and has been here since that time, about 50 years. A large land holder, vice president of the Citizens National Bank,, had served as mayor, as alderman and was a member of the Board of County Commissioners for years, devoted Presbyterian. He is survived by his widow who was before marriage Miss Bertha Chovin of Fitzgerald, a brother, J. R. Holt of Macon and a sister, Mrs. Willa Holt Wakefield of Cal.; Albert and Holt Skellie of Perry are his nephews.
