    3. Hi all, Im new to this site and would not only like to offer my services below but I have received a request from someone loonikg for a Macon County Resident. Can anyone help? McDaniel Page died in 1839 in Macon Co. GA. I need to find out where he is buried. Thanks! Zane Jacobson I myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in Andersonville Georgia. Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost and I am willing to do what I can. My sources are the following....... There are 2 online databases to do lookups.....One by name...one by Company and Regiment. I also have a copy of the Dorence Atwater Death list which has the names and grave numbers of some 13000 graves with only 460 marked as " UNKNOWN " This along with a CD I have which contains 34,000 names of the 45,000 who were imprisoned there which helps me find prisoner records because of misspellings of the names or alternate names. I visit the prison site every couple of weeks and have access to the onsite databases as well as the physical files. I would like to let you know of another service I offer which is to take photos of graves for a small fee. .I also wish to thank the patience of those regular subscribers for my frequent postings. If there is anything I can do in helping your research at Andersonville, please just ask. 3. Zane Jacobson: There is NOT a marked grave in Macon County for McDaniel Page. If he died in 1839, I would like to give you the land lots that he owned in the 1838 Tax Digest of Macon County. He very likely is buried in a Family Cemetery, possibly even abandoned, on one of the land lots that he owned. 1838 Tax Digest Macon Co., Ga. 1 Poll - No slaves 54 acres Swamp in Land Lot 115/1st Dist. Macon Co. 506 & 3/4 acres Pine which included Lot 147/1st Macon Co., Ga. [Note: each lot = 202 & 1/2 acres so 506 would be 2 & 1/2 land lots] 202 & 1/2 acres Pine - Land Lot 33/13 Dist. Macon Co., Ga. 101 & 1/4 [1/2 of ] Land Lot 42/1st Dist. Macon Co., Ga. 40 acres in Cherokee Co. *********************************************************** In the 1827 Land Lottery - McDaniel Page drew Lot No. 131/1st Dist. of Original Muscogee, Now Macon Co., Ga. and paid for it on April 3, 1834. *********************************************************** In the 1830 Census Index, McDaniel Page is listed as living in Marion Co., Ga. Hope some of this helps. 3. I have been searching for my family in the Edgefield District. They would habe been there in the early 1700's ,thru possably the 1850's. Dean/Deen; Rousseau (any variation of the name), Hinson. Clements. Searching for the parentsof William Henry Rousseau who mrried Mary Ann Dean/Deen. I believe thire lines might habe been from N.C. and Va. Also the parents of Rhoda Hinson who married Micijah Dean/Deen. His father possibly Richard Dean. Wm Henry b. 9 Mar 1819 "in or near Macon". Mother possibly Mary Clements. Family states her line was brother to Samuel Clements father (Mark Twain). Would love to exchange info with any oone interested. I know there were Rousseaus in the Edgefield District very early on. Thank you.
