Adams in my line,(Taylor and Macon Counties, GA), however date of birth seems to be 1857. > **My line of research: Ezekiel Adams b. about 1760 in South Carolina, or North Carolina, died on December 9, 1813 in Irwinton, Wilkinson Co., GA. > He was married twice so far as I understand (from research of others)once to a *Sara* maiden name either Ball or Smith. > He had son named Amos Adams b. 1795 in South Carolina. > Amos (m. (w1)Judith TAUNTON/ m.(w2)Telitha WHITTINGTON)> had children among them: Ezekiel Amos Adams, (Sr.) (m. Martha CARTER)> they had children, among them was Ezekiel Amos Adams (Jr.)(m Sara Jane GAULTNEY)> They had children, among them, Nancy Camila(r) Adams (m. Charles Brown BARFIELD.) > This note is from information shared with me: (not verba.) According to family history (etc.) ..there were at least five Adams brothers related that resided in the states of South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama during the very late 1700's and early to mid 1800's. Amos Adams had resided in Winkinson County, GA, as well. There is a possibility of three more. There were also at least three or four daughter's. Oral information is that the ancestors of Ezekiel came from Ireland sometime in the early 1700's. Simeon Adams answer to a Texas census question (1880) was that his father (Ezekiel) was born in South Carolina. At this time there is a question of where he was born..NC-SC- or Ireland. I don't know if this will help you or confuse you even more! > The Joseph I see listed here is a child of John Adams(son of Amos, son of Ezekiel)and wife Sara Corley who m. in Talbot Co., GA about 1847. Children I have for the union of John and Sara are: Nancy, abt. 1847; Jonathan K. abt. 1849; Isham L. abt. 1851; JOSEPH B. abt. 1857; Sara V. abt. 1860. I really have no other information, but I do know that some descendants of this Adams group wound up in Texas. > > . > > > This is an automatically-generated notice. > > <http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ga/Macon?admin> > >
