Some of the descendants of my line did move over into Georgia, however. My earliest known PATRICK ancestor is ANDREW GEORGE PATRICK born in 1810 in South Carolina, who brought his family to Alabama by covered wagon and settled in the area of Chilton County, Alabama. He helped to establish four churches, owned seven hundred acres including a cotton gin, and saw mill. He died in 1898 and is buried at Sardis Baptist Church, Chilton County, Alabama. He married twice: first to Eliza WALTERS (b. Feb. 23, 1810-d. Sept 22, 1838) on January 8,1834 by whom he had two children: Lewis W. Patrick (b. December 11, 1835 -d. 1922 burial at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Chilton Co., AL) and Columbus E. Patrick (b. Sept. 17, 1838 -d. Nov. 28, 1838). Andrew George Patrick then married Mary Ann MILLENDER (b. Oct. 17, 1821 - d. May 11, 1897) by whom he had fifteen (15) ! > children. They were: Hew Jenoyce Elizabeth Patrick (b. Feb. 5 1840); Joel J. Patrick (b. Aug. 16, 1841); Ann E. L. Patrick (b. Sept. 4, 1842); John A. Patrick (b. Dec. 29, 1845); Joseph A. Patrick (b. Oct 17, 1847); Vernon Jane Patrick (b. Jan. 6, 1849); George W. Patrick (b. oct. 12, 1850); BURRILL O. TEMPLE PATRICK* (my ancestor, born October 25, 1852); Sara G. Patrick (b. April 12, 1855); Francis M. Patrick (b. Nov. 13, 1858); James Monroe Patrick (b. Aug. 15, 1860); Mary Ann Patrick (b. Jan. 13, 1863); Louizer Rachel Patrick (b. Oct. 4, 1865); Thomas E. C. Patrick (b. Feb. 1868); Albert M. Patrick (b. Sept 1st or 7th, 1869). > There is a reunion in Alabama for this Patrick line and I will provide information to anyone interested.
