Tax Digest there is WHITMILL HILL, SR. owning 202 & 1/2 acres in Lot 95/1st Dist. of Orig. Muscogee, now Macon Co., Ga. Also, in the 1840 Census of Macon Co., Ga. HH 136 Dist. 814 [Lanier area] there is a Whitmill Hill 70-80 with 1 female 20-30 & 2 females under 5 living with him. > I think the above mentioned WHITMILL HILL, SR. is the son of SLAUGHTER HILL in Robeson Co., N.C. whose Will was dated 1818 and his son, Moses was the executor. He mentioned sons, Whitmael Hill, John Hill, children of his son, Noah Hill, Daughters, Temperance Varnom and Margaret Brewer, wife of Jacob Brewer. > I have tried to share this info with other Hill Family researchers but they were not interested. It is very possible that I am wrong. Hill is not my direct family but I did have an aunt, Sarah E. {Waters] Hill who was Macon County's, Slaughter Hill's 2nd wife and mentioned in his Will. The land lot 95/1st where Whitmill Hill, Sr. lived is also mentioned in the Will. > PLEASE, check out this info and let me know what you think. > I have always known you to be a very thorough researcher, so I would enjoy hearing from you on this.
