Shadrack was never a member but always helped in many ways per his obit. There is at least one descendant still living in Marshallville and still a member of the Marshallville Baptist Church. There is a nice family story in "History of Marshallville's First Baptist Church" compliled for the 150th anniversary of the church in 1998.

I believe thire lines might habe been from N.C. and Va. Also the parents of Rhoda Hinson who married Micijah Dean/Deen. His father possibly Richard Dean. Wm Henry b. 9 Mar 1819 "in or near Macon". Mother possibly Mary Clements. Family states her line was brother to Samuel Clements father (Mark Twain). Would love to exchange info with any oone interested. It is my understanding that 3 McCarty's left the old Edgefield Dist. and went to Macon Co., John and William B.and their cousin William "Blewit". I tried to pull up the info from you but was denied with the explanation that it contained info not related to the subject..?? I would appricate it if you would send it again. Thanks for replying and I wish for you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Jack

Zion Lutheran Cemetary on Bluiet and Ellen McCarty. I had been given very little info from a family member and this is a great start for me. If you happen to find anything else to this line please keep me in mind. I hope you have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Jack Wood
