Even though Birth Certificates were not officially done in the time period for 1911.... due to the need for one later in life, (Social Security, pension, etc) he may have applied for a Delayed Birth Certificate. This would be in the courthouse of where he was living at the time he applied for this.... http://www.rootsweb.com/~gataylor/tayhos.htm#delayed Check this site for more details about this. I am afraid that birth certicates were nonexistent before 1925. However, the census for 1920 may give you a year and month.

He is directly descended from James Henderson McGlamery and Jasper McGlamery. I have seen it spelled McGlamery, McGlammery, McGlamory, McGlamry, etc., but they all seem to be connected. I have 76 McGlamerys in my database, but no Alfred, or any of the others you mentioned, although I'm sure they're related. Please contact me privately if you would like to exchange information. I am looking for any information on graduates of this school. The school was first called Johnston Institute and then changed and incorporated in 1875 under the name Butler Female College and Male Institute. They published a catalogue each year listing the names of students. I have a copy of the 1881-1882 class and the 1911, plus information from the Butler Herald.
