My father was placed in a Children"s Home in Macon (BIBB CO.) Georgia in the 1930's. He does not know his family.Here is what I know. If you can provide me with any information, I would be truely grateful: He was suppose to be born in Lake Park GA Lowndes county around 1927. His parents are suppose to be George King and Effie Holloway. He has a memory of living with a couple prior to being place in a home. He told me that the man was named Sam/Samuel Devereux. He said Sam's wife wanted him to call he momma but he didn't but called her something like Manny or Mammie he is not sure about this. They had an older daughter which was probably somewhere around 12-15 yrs old at the time. He thinks her name was Julia/Julie. He doesn't know any more than this and isn't positive that this story is even real. He is not sure that this was not a dream. I feel it is something he recalled from very early in his childhood. Seems like too much detail f! or a dream! I would love to hear from anyone that can add to this story. Does any of this story make you think you know these people.If so, please contact me.
