I too am looking for the same information on Thomas Jefferson Beaty, although my research has him being born in ~1819 in Lowndes County instead of 1845 as Robin did. We have T.J. and his brother, Andrew Decatur Beaty in Hawkinsville, Pulaski County, GA in approx 1825, as orphans, but still don't have the parent's names confirmed. Would also like to know if there were any other brothers and sisters. Have found a family letter from T.J.'s daughter stating that she thought T.J.'s mother re-married a man by the name of Jones (no first name) and that she thought that marriage produced a son by the name of Sam Jones. We don't know what county this marriage might have taken place or if indeed that it did. We do know that the court records named a man by the name of Darling Jones as guardian of the Beaty children, T.J. and Andrew. Not sure of his relationship to the Beaty children.
