I'm planning my first trip to Lowndes County next week and want to visit the Courthouse and go through as many old records as possible. I'm time period I'm focusing on is around 1870. I would really appreciate some tips from someone who has been to the courthouse on what they have, what the procedures are, etc. I have only looked for wills and deeds at courthouses before and want to do more this trip.
