According to the Georgia DAR Historical Collections, Lewis M. Collins is buried in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta. I went there today and did not find his grave nor was it listed in the office, however, the grave of his wife is listed and was found along with other related graves. The Cemetery book for Lowndes county does not list his burial that I could find. I am writing this in the library right now. Question: Does anyone know where Lewis M. Collins is buried? His wife was Mamie Roberds Collins who was the daughter of Harriet "Hattie" Zeigler Roberds, who was the wife of Reuben Roberds. Since I take a lot of headstone shots I would love to find his grave. The same DAR records show that Julius Monroe Wilcox is buried there. I did not find his grave but his wife, Eloise Collins Wilcox is buried in the same plot with the others mentioned above. I am hoping someone on this list is researching these folks. charles t. zeigler
