thanks to everyone who helped me place the cemeteries in the right counties. I'm very familiar with Coffee And Atkinson counties, but not so much with the others. (At least not when it comes to finding family cemeteries) My grandparents lived in Coffee County and would visit my grandfather's Moore relatives on Sundays. Since he had a number of brothers and sisters, it usually depended on who we were visiting as to where we were. If we were visiting aunt Pearl (Tyson) or Uncle Ross and Aunt Verdie(Moore), then we were usually in Cook County out near Crossroads and Massee. Visiting his sister Ruth Powell and her husband Cuthbert (Uncle Cubert) then we were in Moultrie. His Gladys Connell and her husband Buren lived in Adel. Over the years, I've had occasion since my grandparents passed on to get back to that area, but it usually is for a funeral. this branch of Moore's will hold their annual reunion October 5th and it will be discussed as to whether the reunion will continue since attendance has dwindled. This reunion used to be large in number and occurred at Long Bridge for the most part during my childhood. All of the children of William Jesse Moore and Maggie Griner have (as of this year) passed on and so have a number of the grandchildren. Since my father was an only child, I have no first cousins on this side, so it will be sad to lose this part of my childhood.
