The first I find of James Booth was in Wilkinson Co in 1880 census, he was 16 and listed as afarm hand on the farm of Joseph McCook. I can't find anything about him, it seems he just----WHOOOF---and was in Wilkinson Co, no parents or location as to where he came from at all and I've been searching quite a while. You might want to check Sunset Cemetery in Valdosta. It's a beautiful large old cemetery. Unfortunately I don't have the index book for it. Maybe someone else on the list does. Kay, Your Watson connection to Warner Robins may not be to far off. Living in Warner Robins I took a great interest in the Confederate regiments from there, quite a few Watson's enlisted in the 11th Georgia, Co. K, Houston County. I have included them below. Ray, it's been awhile since you posted but I have just today read something from you about Drew and Sarah Vickers and their sons Lewis and Henry. Henry is my g.g.grandfather and was born in 1820 in Montgomery Co. Ga. In the Black Book of Ga. there is information that Henry, Lewis and four other brothers changed their name to Vickers from Elvington in 1830. Sarah was an Elvington before she married Drew. Have you ever heard this and what do you make of it?? June

He married Mary Allie Bush (b. 9 Oct 1867 in Lafayeatte Co., FL) I have his father as Thomas Kendrick, but I don't know anything about his mother. Does anyone else have info on this line. Thanks!
