Zipperer as the second son of Theophilus Zipperer. Samuel was b. Jan 16, 1833 and married Mary E. Corbitt on Jan. 9, 1857. They lived in Lowndes County.Theophilus was in the 1830 Hamilton County, FL census, and the 1840 Lowndes County, GA census. Samuel Harmon would have been the "1 white male age 5-10" on that census. The 1850 Lowndes Co census, House/Family # 813 Family of Theophilus Zipperer shows Samuel Harmon as being a male age 17.I have some notes from aother Zipperer researcher mentioning other censuses, but county not given, but I presume Lowndes.1860, Samuel H. age 24, male occupation overseer. wife Mary Ann age 18.1870. Samuel age 31, Farming, Mary 30 Kekeping House,(p.368?) Beauregard 9, male at School, and Maran M. 7, male at school. Also "Georgia Salzburger and Allied Families" comp. by P. R. Gnann p. 684 lists Sanuel Harmon as son of Theophilus Z., b. Jan. 16, 1833, died Oct. 15, 1901."Surv! ey of Lowndes County, GA Cemeteries 1825-1927", page 394, lists Samuel H. Zipperer, 1833-1901. Corinth Cemetery.I think he has descendants still living in Lowndes County. I am assuming that this is the Samuel H. Zipperer that you are researching.

It was taken from "Lowndes County Cemteries" compiled by Charles W. Adams on page 85. It shows that H.W. Mann's wife - Alvah Morris Mann (1857-1940) is buried in Sunset Hill in section A1-4. This maybe where the family plot is. I didn't show H.W. Mann listed himself in my note. Hope this helps.

We do know that our William Franklin Rountree who resided in Valdosta, was not born there, he was born in Effingham County, Georgia. His brothers were Cornelius Green and Bonaparte Rountree b. in the 1850's in Effingham. Via my great-grandfather Cornelius' will we also know that the parents of these boys had land right here in same county. Backtracking the old land records now to try and obtain their parents names. Thanks for the Johnson County idea. Open to any suggestions. I believe that until we find some names, we are going to stuck here! With a son named Bonaparte Rountree, they should not be too hard to find! Again Thanks, Judy

He is buried in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta. The S. Ga. Regional Library provided me with on obit on this family member from the Valdosta Daily times dated Sept. 12, 1927. Quite impressive was this wonderful obit, for it reveals a lengthy bio of this family. Through this obit we learned that William F. Rountee is indeed buried next to his wife, MINNIE DORO (WALL) ROUNTREE. William Franklin Rountree we know, was born in Egypt, Effingham Co. Ga. Minnie Doro Wall is believed to have been born in Milledgeville, Ga. It is there that she probably met her husband. He was an engineer for the Southern Railway, transporting passengers from the depot to the local Milledgeville Sanitarium. About 1905 they moved to Valdosta, where he again worked for that same railroad. Their children were: Lester V. Rountree E.O Rountree- who worked for the Valdosta-Curry Grocery. Bernard Rountree-who was still living at home when his father died in 1927. Married to unknown.Died prior to 1973. Willa Rountree Hendricks-moved to Pittsburg, Pa. Nelle Rountree-lived in Pa. with her sister for a while. Edna Katherine Rountree- married a Mr. Sterns. She died about 1998 and may be buried under the name of Edna Sterns, there in Valdosta. William F. Rountree b. 4/10/1865-9/10/1927 Minnie D. Wall Rountree b. 6/22/1871-4/1/1962 They resided at 703 Floyd Street in Valdosta. children's birthdates unknown at this time.
