Hi Lowndes Co Researchers I am new to the list ... just found (possibly) my Hightower ancestors there. I would appreciate any information on the early Hightowers in Lowndes 1790-1850 or their descendants. Here is the theory I am working with .... John B Hightower b 1774, son of Thomas Hightower, migrated to Tattnall Co GA about 1800. His brother Henry did the same. They moved to Lowndes Co 1828. John B. Hightower's first wife may have been Mary Guess and he had four children with her.
