Their dtr., Frances, m. David Pierpont MORGAN in 1844. GGgrandmother Frances was left a widow with children to raise when GGgrandfather died at Cedar Key, where he was in the USA, on 10-30-1864. GGgrandfather was a Unionist and, when their home was burned, GGgrandmother survived on some pork which had buried beneath the house to prevent foragers from getting it. We don't know what happened to her after this, plus I don't have anything on siblings, etc.I have a death date, April 7, 1884, but no site or other info.

A Militia district was organized as soon as a certain number of able-bodied men were found to be living in a particular area. The men would be required to organize into a militia company and report for drill on a required basis. I can't remember the exact number required but I am guessing anywhere from 30 to 50. The Militia Districts are still around and the militia companies have evolved into the National Guard. Joe

Prior to that I have the same info you do back to Francis but have been unable to go back further than that. I am a descendant of Robert who was a younger brother of Nancy. My information shows Nancy born in 1770 in Bulloch Co. Georgia. She married Stephen McCoy on 1/27/1796 in Bulloch Co. Georgia. Unfortunately, that is all I have on Nancy and her lineage.
