The sun finally came out so I'm done ahead of schedule. The cemetery is up, though I'm still indexing the names. Besides bunches of Galloways, there is a bonus patch of Aikens http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Forum/7150/cemetery/oldtoxup.html Lots Of John Colby's descendants, but they are making me wonder about their religion. Several graves mention how long the person was a memeber of The Baptist Church - This Includes Louis P Galloway. And for all of them, it wasn't their whole life, one only converted 4 years before he died. And some of them didn't convert when the nearby church was built in 1879. Considering john Colby at least ended up a Baptist Minister, What was their religion before??? One more mystery. One grave is Archibul Aiken. It mentions he had 24 children!!! But there is no date. Does anyone know when this fertile gent lived? and who were the 24 kids? And how is he connected with the Galloways?
