Archibul Akins was a brother to Henrietta "Hannah" Aiken who married John C. Galloway. According to census records he was born in 1790. According to the 1880 Census Mortality Schedule (Pickens Co., SC) he died in January of 1880 of "old age". I have been told that he married first a Miss Young. She was the mother of his first 12 kids. She died abt. 1833. May be one of the unmarked graves near Archibul. Next wife was Martha Bice/Byers, the mother of his next 12 kids. Martha is buried at Rocky Bottom Baptist Church in Pickens Co., SC.
