Have you ever thought it was odd that a man who lived to be 88 years old only had 6 children, one of who he fathered at age 84 !?! But that happens to be the current ifo about William Galloway, B 1764, D. 1851. You'll be happy to know that I found evidence of some more kids - no names, though. I once found William in the 1804 Walton County Census which said there were 7 white folks, and I could only account for 5 Galloways. Now there is more 1810 Buncombe County census as interpreted by James Woolley Household of William Galloway on page 293 (Next door to a James FRAZIER for all you William Frazier Galloway folks to ponder) Males: 45+ 1 (William Galloway) 26-45 1 (? - Jimmie should be 20 - he appears to have already left home?) 16-26 0 (where Jimmie should be listed if he were still here) 10-16 2 (John Colby is 16 years at this time - I cannot account for the other one) 0-10 3 (William D, George Washington, & 1 other) Females: 45+ 0 26-45 1 (wife Sarah Essary?) 16-26 0 10-16 1 (Sarah Elizabeth) 0-10 1 (????) So we have at leats three extra kids. And a missing adult. And the additional problem of fathering a child at age 84 which whil technically possible, is just not very practicle. Couple of possibilities: 1. We have the wrong birth date for Jimmie, and he is the 26-45 year old male still looking for that special someone. 2. We have a William Sr & William Jr in the same house. 3.
