Something to contemplate. William Galloway (b ca 1763) had wives Sarah USSARY and Hannah POWELL. Where did Sarah come from - genetically and geographically? There is a Thomas Ussary listed as having 9 white folks in his household in the 1804 Walton County, GS census (Current Transylvania/Henderson County NC). Since William settled here in about 1796 (according to Bible records), and he was having children by 1790: 1. Did he come here with his in-laws? 2. Did he have an earlier wife who died and then met Sarah here? 3. Is Thomas Ussary completely unrelated to Sarah and simply moved here to confuse me?
