Hi Galloway Rooters, I noticed in Monteith's 1880 Census of Transylvania County: Eastatoe Twp.: William D. Galloway and wife Sarah (Morgan). William (or Sarah, depending on who the census take was talking to) stated that his father and mother (William and Sarah Essary) were born in Virginia. How I got Pennsylvania in my database, I have no idea why. Has anyone confirmed this? I guess we could take William D. at his word? Somewhere, I got info that may indicate that William (not D.) had parents from Pennsylvania, Northumberland County to be exact, by the name of John and Mary Harrison Galloway.. Anybody else seen this? How many more questions am I allowed? :~) Philip Sheppard Beaufort, South Carolina
