Thanks Cousin Phil for the new Transylvania List Phil and I had noticed a problem. The Galloway list is too polite. Anytime us more related Galloways from the NC/SC area started to drift off into other connections say like Owens or Whitmires, we all politely hushed up so as not to clutter up the e-mail boxes of Galloways from other parts with non-Galloway chatter. With the new list, we can all be just as inbred as we please without offending anyone <g>. The list will be kind of sneaking out of its borders to include neighbors in upper SC but that's okay since they still haven't found the state line. I'll still be maintaining the now worldwide Galloway list for Galloways everywhere in hopes of someday learning where our local Galloways came from. Just in case we have someone new who knows they are: William Galloway b. 1764 m. Sarah Ussery and later Hannah Powell John Galloway b. 1780 m. Kizza (Mauldin we think) They lived in died in present day Transylvania County, NC They were born somewhere - Documents say it was KY,VA,PA,SC,NC,and TN And we have yet to proove who a daddy was for either one of these folks, though a few theories are about. I still favor the alien spacecraft theory myself.
