Hello I am seeking information on the family of William J. Galloway and Catherine Oates they were married in Henry County, Alabama 16/Aug./1849. I would very much like to locate the children or grandchildren of thiscouple. If at all possible I would like to contact someof theirdescendents. Catherine was the daughter of Stephen Oates and Elizabeth Ann Shipp of North Carolina. After Stephen's death in 1835 she desposed of his estaste and moved to Henry County Alabama, where she purchased land outside of Roeville Alabama. If anyone in the group may know of a book on the familyI am talking about please let me know. After 1849 it seems that they possibly moved to another State.
