John Chester, of Westerfield, and Col. Joseph Spencer, 1775. Also No. 1591. John Galloway served as a private in the Pennsylvania troops and was honorably discharged. He was born at Gettysburg, 1746, where he died. Arthur Scott, (1761-1843), enlisted when a lad and was at Valley Forge. He was born in Lancaster county and died in Washington county, Pa. David Alexander, (1740-1820), was at the battles of Cowpens and his home was near enough for the firing to be distinctly heard. He was born in North Carolina and died at Dunsport, Pa.
