Barton Norman is mentioned several times in deeds. There is a deedbook E page 273-274 where Lemuel Towler and Jean his wife sold 132 acres on Fishing Creek adjoining Laurence Sudduth, Grimsley, Steele and John Walton. Registered July 1, 1807. I think Barton Norman is part of the Wilkes County Normans. Contact Don Fucich at mudbug@wildblue.net. He has a lot of information on the Wilkes County Normans. They are closely related to the Lincoln County Normans.
