All of my mother's paternal ancestors were in the old Ninety Six, and later Edgefield Dist, most before the 1790 census. But my Robertson female was born ca 1820 and died before 1850. She was possible Harriett Robertson, 1st wife of Ewell/Uel/Newell/Earl Coursey, depending on what record you use. I found her name on the Death Cert. of a daughter who died in Augusta, Richmond Co, GA. Parents never lived in GA, as her father was in SC as head of a hh 1840 - 1860. with a new wife in 1850 and more children. I am at a very high stone wall, and until I can get to the SC State Archives to look up every Robertson, Robinson, Roberson, etc male who left a probate record to see if I can find one who left anything to the children of their deceased daughter Harriett Coursey, I am really stuck.
