But since I know there are others out there I'm posting my queries. A list will only be a quiet as you let it be. So here goes. My gggrandparents were married in Lincoln, GA: Name: James E.[Rev] Evans Spouse: Permelia J. Mays Marriage Date: 25 Mar 1831 Marriage Location: Lincoln, Georgia James was a Methodist minister and they changed churches every 2 years. I know that he was at churches in Bibb, Floyd and Chatham Counties (multiple times in Bibb and Chatham). I've found other EVANS in Lincoln but no MAYS - any help out there? EVANS was the 1st line I started on and my brick wall. I just found my gggrandparents this year. BTW - today is our 37th annual EVANS family reunion in Harris County, GA. My grandfather (James Jefferson EVANS) was sent to Harris County in the early 1880's to live with his half brothers grandparents after his step mother's death. He never saw his father, sister or grandparents again. Poppa grew up thinking he wasn't wanted by anyone. He and my grandmother (Lily Lee "Dora" ROSAMOND) had 13 children - I'm 1 of 35 grandchildren. He many not of felt love growing up, but he was loved by many at the time of his death. 3. There are Evans and families related to Arnett . There is a John Quirns(Qearns) Arnett line .. Robert Coleman Arnett line .. with these. Trying to research these leads me to a cemetary with a marked grave with seashells, and many unmarked burials. Some of these Arnett were from Chester.. they mix with the Cullars in Wilkes and Lincoln Counties, and I cannot get time to actually get back over to research into these lines. Patti, we are distantly related, I think.. Walter L.
