Andrew (Andro) Fill born: 10 December 1886 Brothers: Peter (Petro) Fill born: 15 June 1884 and Harry (Hritz) Fill born: 01 May 1979 Copy of Declaration of Intention (January 17, 1914) immigration papers in file (#15116 - Ohio - Cuyahoga County). Emigrated to USA from Trieste, Austria on the vessel Francesca. Arrived Port of New York January 4, 1906. June 5th, 1917 Andro registered for the draft for World War I. Form indicated that he was born in Volovec Austria. 1920 census states that both Andrew and Mary's parents were born in Galicia and their "tongue" was Russian. Brother Peter's WWII Draft registration card indicates place of birth as Wolawecs, Poland. All lived in Cleveland, OH and worshipped at St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Church Harry's death certificate had parents as Theodore Fill and Rose Bibel - no other corroborating information or details. Thanks, Mary, for your quick response. I probably would never have found 'FYL' unless I had taken that date I had and gone page by page looking for him. This manifest has a additional information for me; I see that he is travelling with Simon Glusrko to Cleveland as well. I have Harry/Hritz/Hryr's spouse as Catren (Catherine) but I did not have her birth name so this is yet another piece of my puzzle. The difference in the name spellings just make it so hard; this is where I really struggle. You're a gem. Oh my goodness. I've used this site a hundred times but never used the key words box. I love researching in Cleveland and Ohio; there is so much info available and on line.
